I called Knapp’s to repair a dryer. They were prompt, courteous and very. very knowledgeable. They fixed my problem and also provided some maintenance I needed at no charge, cleaning up a dangerous lint problem in my dryer. The service gentlemen also suggested some easy routine maintenance that I can do at home so I can extend the life of my appliances. I was very happy with Knapp’s service, prices (very reasonable and very upfront!), and attitude toward the customer. I’ll definitely be calling them back if I have a need!

I’ve called Knapp twice now and couldn’t be happier.  First was to replace the igniter in our gas range, then a drain pump for our washing machine.  They’re quick, professional (able to diagnose and educate me about what’s happening), and generous.

I hope this doesn’t duplicate (I goofed up first time). We have been more than happy with James’ work, and his customer service/communication have been flawless, and he’s polite and friendly, to boot. He knows his stuff. He came up with creative solutions when parts were not available on a very old range, and at a very fair price. A most conscientious young man; may he live long and prosper.  (I don’t believe “Honest” C.’s review — that is not the James we know.)

I appreciated James’ work ethics; constant contact about details (time, issues, etc) and wants the customer to be satisfied. Went out of his way, did extra work and his charges were more than fair. James is the kind of person you’d be comfortable with in your house; respectful, communicative and helpful. Goes out of his way to make the project successful. I would absolutely have him again! A true problem solver!

James was amazing! He’s a problem solver and does a great job. We were struggling with putting in a window mount AC unit in our apartment. Our window was super problematic and it took a bit of creative thinking to make it work without messing up the siding or going against the property manager’s rules concerning making changes to the unit. He made it work! He was super sympathetic and made his way over to help us install our window AC unit the very next day. Bear in mind we called him at the end of the work day. He basically saved us and our two overheating cats from the heat. Before he came our apartment was at a staggering 90 degrees inside and stubbornly refused to cool off. Thanks to him we can now sleep at night and it didn’t cost us a fortune!!!

Use him exclusively for all of my appliance needs!  Couldn’t speak more highly!  Great guy, great service, great prices!!!

James talked me out of trying to repair my broken washing machine. He could have tried to take me for a ride, but he was very up front that I’d be far better off just buying a new machine.

He then spent the next 10 minutes educating me on top-loaders vs front-loaders, which manufacturers are best, and the best local places to buy from. Really appreciated his honesty and advice. Good guy.

Excellent Service.  James arrived at the time he said he would.  It was obvious that he was very knowledgeable.  He diagnosed the problem immediately, repaired my fridge promptly and explained why the problem occurred and what to do in the future should the problem happen again to avoid a service call.  After the work was done, he even cleaned up the water spill.  I highly recommend this company.

I called Knapp Appliances after a strong recommendation from Dewhitt Appliance. Our warranty had expired, and my dryer was blowing nothing but cold air on the day before my husband’s 50th birthday and a weekend of guests. James Knapp came the same day, sussed the problem, and went to great lengths to secure the part and install it so that I wouldn’t be stuck with piles of laundry over a weekend of hosting. He had to leave to take care of some business and even returned that evening after business hours to finish the job! Knapp Appliances is a family business, and James Knapp is a terrific professional who provides outstanding service.

We had a problem with the refrigerator at our house and we called another service company first. The other service company came out, and quoted me several hundred dollars in parts that were needed to fix our fridge, plus their service call. We told them at that time that we were going to think about whether or not to repair or replace. We called Knapp’s Service and Appliance and explained our situation to James, and that we wanted a second opinion. He came out that day and had it fixed within twenty minutes of being at our house. The problem was a bad relay. The service was great and we saved our fridge and several hundred dollars!! Very pleased with the service we received!

Had a bad door lock on my dishwasher and James not only explained why it was broken, but took the part out and demonstrated the broken part. Quoted price was fair as was the price charged for parts. I later researched the price of parts and was surprised by the lack of heavy markup. Knapp’s Service & Appliance operates with integrity and I would definitely recommend.
